![]() DTSW Faculty & Staff Patricia Dickinson began training with Nancy Robison and the Southern Ballet of Atlanta under Karen Conrad, formerly with American Ballet and Pittman Corry. She was a scholarship recipient at the North Carolina School for the Arts, studied at The Graham Conservatory in New York, and received a BFA degree with honors from Southern Methodist University. Ms Dickinson danced with the Dallas Opera and the Dallas Ballet, where she worked with such choreographers and teachers as George Skibine, Marjorie Tallchief, and James Clouser. She has performed in film and commercials, and has produced fifteen record albums for the ballet classroom and three instructional videos. Ms Dickinson's continuing teaching, performing, and choreographic career spans the United States, Canada, Mexico and Europe. (See Ms. Dickinson's full bio.) Judy Czelusniak joined the faculty of Dance Theatre Southwest in 2003 and is the Director of the Children's Division, Summer Kids! Dance Workshop and creator of the new "Intensive Program for Young Dancers" and new "Creative Studies" program. Her mission is to provide professional and technically sound dance training to even the littlest dancers. She served as a guest speaker at the University of New Mexico, Dance Department and hopes to continue her involvement in dance pedagogy within the community. She received a Certificate in Dance Teaching in 1990 from the School of the Hartford Ballet and specializes in children's dance, particularly Pre-Ballet and Ballet. She was a member of the School of the Hartford Ballet faculty since 1992, where she was the Director of the Children's Division and summer "Pre-Ballet Workshops". She was also an adjunct faculty member at the University of Hartford, the Hartt School, teaching "Methods of Pre-Ballet" to university dance majors. She mentored, evaluated and advised student teachers as part of the university curriculum. She has had the pleasure of working with many renowned choreographers as Children's Rehearsal Director for the annual company performance of the The Nutcracker and Kirk Peterson's world premiere The American Nutcracker. She choreographs for annual spring performances in the Children's Division and the New Mexico Ballet Company II - The Junior Company. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist in the State of New Mexico and holds a B.A. with honors from Ohio Wesleyan University. Our faculty are well-educated, highly trained professionals in the art of dance who have danced professionally, taught at the University level and have been international guest artists.
